Riding Types
There are many different riding types, but right here I'm only going to talk about 3 (English, Western, and Sidesaddle). The first is English. Personally, I prefer English riding but thats just my opinon. English saddles are a lot lighter than Western and Sidesaddle. In my opinion they are also a lot simpler. Next is Western. Western saddles are a lot fancier than English ones. Many Western riders adorn their saddles, some have them hand painted. The picture is of a Western saddle. Finally, sidesaddle. In the olden days women were only allowed to ride sidesaddle. Many still do. I have never ridden this riding type, but I can imagine how much harded it would be to canter with only 1 stirrup.
